Well imagine out here in AZ...when it's the difference between 84 and 98 the span of an hour. Yard crews start pretty early out here. When temps are expected to reach 110s that day you can't blame them. I mean...during those days the low is 90.

Know how I know you are lying? They don't have grass in the desert and you live in Arizona.

I have one of them fancy electric mowers, I cut my grass at midnight.

It's the weedeater and blower at 2am people complain about.

it being legal means it was decided that after a certain time in the morning, it is reasonable to carry out loud activities outside without worrying about bothering people.

the legality of it has everything to do with it since the sound ordinances are based upon being respectful to people trying to sleep.

Not saying you OP, but this thread reminds me that some people are incapable of being adults.

If the neighbor asks you to wait til nine, and it's not holding up your day, NBD. If it does, talk to him like and adult and work it out.

if it holds up my day to wait, then the neighbor can eat a dick.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with asking your neighbor to wait an hour. But there is nothing wrong with your neighbor not waiting because they have other stuff they need to do.

As opposed to posting a "melting" meme? Yeah, you really put me in my place there.

Unrelated: I'm impressed that you're able to find time to mow your own yard, considering you post more often than you breathe. Good on you.

I don't see any problem with 8, though if my neighbor felt strongly enough about it, I would wait until 9.

However, the "I've got shite to do" justification is a lot better than the "It's too hot at 9!" one. I got caught up with stuff this morning and didn't start my lawn until 11 and I survived just fine. A little water goes a long way.
