when the sun is up. anytime after 6 is acceptable.

if you're neighbor is a grown man and isn't up at 8, then too fricking bad

Just saying.....if he's not breaking any laws....why not. 8 am is not that early anyways.

It's not his problem what time his neighbor gets up.

I'm always surprised by how many OTers cut their own grass.

Some people like to sleep in when they don't have work. Crazy, I know.

Yeah, but some people like to be considerate of others and stuff.

When the dew dries, grass flies.

I actually like to cut mine Wed or Thur afternoon so it's fresh for the weekend and also so I can hunt or fish on the weekend.

good for them. go to bed at 12, sleep till 8. there's 8 hours. sleeping in does nothing to make up for lost sleep throughout the week.

noise ordinances are usually in effect from 10-6 in the morning. that's why builders aren't allowed to work during those hours, but can after 6. no different than mowing your lawn. it's legal, so deal with it

Then they get earplugs.

Some people like to get up early on their day off and get yardwork out of the way so they have the rest of their day off to enjoy.

I work nights and sleep during the day. I sleep while people are doing yard work outside all the time. Earplugs are pretty cheap.

No shite it's legal, that isn't the issue. It's just about being courteous to someone you likely will have many future interactions with and from whom you would like courtesy in return. Unless you know your neighbor is cool with it, I think it's just sort of a dick move and not something I would do.

Anywhere in the south you can tell the difference in heat between 8 and 9 am. 8 am is perfectly fine IMO. I sleep past 8 on weekends, but if I were woken up at 8 by someones mower I wouldn't be all pissy. People wanna get the shite done before it gets too hot and I can't blame them for that.

I mean if my neighbor asked, I'd oblige because I'm not a dick. But I also think the neighbor is being a bitch about it.
