you're a shitty neighbor

not everybody works a normal schedule and our society dictates this to run properly.

it isn't too much to ask to start an hour later

I've never once had a neighbor ask me to change the time I cut my grass. And, I've never complained either. Is this something that adults actually do?

Same here. But, nobody in my neighborhood is as militant as some of the people in this thread have been.

I don't have to deal with any 6 or 7 AM mowers and I'm up by 8 anyway.

Some neighbors just love to bitch about anything. They are "THAT" neighbor on the street.

We happen to live next to "THAT" neighbor. He actually tried telling us we can't let our dogs go out in our backyard at night. That we should block our doggie door at night. He then tried telling us he would call the cops if needed since we were violating leash laws by letting our dogs off leash....in our fenced in backyard.

Husband just told him to go ahead and call the cops. That he was a former cop and he would love to see the cops laugh at our neighbor over this. He never called. And even though I try waving at him and his wife(older couple)...they never wave back.

Either one is way too early. When it is this humid the dew doesn't dry until mid day. Cutting wet grass is trashy.

actually not. I work 3 days a week 9-5.

Understanding and consideration is not that hard.

"8 am isn't too bad IMO, but I use the rule of thumb "Never call someone after 9pm or before 9am, unless it's an emergency." Feel like it could apply to this situation too."

Yes he was. Phoenix PD. He left before we ever met. His former beat was actually a pretty rough part of PHX. I know he would love to go back to it and regrets leaving, but they don't like it when you leave so they aren't so willing to put you through the academy again.
