What’s your pup’s name?

Has he perked up any on the ride to the vet?

I’m sorry and I hope he gets fixed up quickly.

Sounds like when my dog had a blockage in his intestine. Ate one of those nerf gun balls that look like little yellow golf balls. Just small enough to enter his intestines. Just squishy enough in t wouldn't pass through.

Anytime a lab stops eating something isn’t right and you should get it to the vet asap.

Drake but I call him “pup pup”. He definitely perks up soon as we walked into the emergency hospital. They came out and asked about sedation and doing x-rays and discussing price with me and I stopped her and said “cost doesn’t matter a hill of beans to me. I have plenty of credit cards in my wallet. I just want to know what’s going on with my dog so whatever he needs do it.”

They were sedating him and taking X-rays and some other test but that’s all I know. This place is busy for a Friday night.

That’s good Drake the pup pup could perk up some! I really hope you keep us updated. Sally got really, really sick Dec 26th then 28th. Thought we might lose her. You have all my sympathy, and Drake pup too.

SIL is a Vet Tech at LSU Vet School.

She says that weekends are always busy because the only option to get treatment for your pet is the ER. So they get flooded with every injury, health scare, and imagined illness (it's just like the human ER).

Half the people there have no real reason to be there, but they are worried about their pet not acting "normal" or got in a fight with a raccoon or cat and received some scratches.

The other half are there for the same reason you are: something is not right, hasn't been for a few days, or their pet got injured pretty badly (hit by car, dropped and broke it's leg - like what happened to a dog of ours growing up, serious injuries from a fight/attack).

Point is this: Vet ERs are no different than human ERs.

Last time I was here with my dog they brought in a k9 that had been stabbed. I haven’t seen them bring in any emergencies like that since I’ve been here tonight so far.

I’m glad your dog pulled through! Yeah this is definitely not fun sitting and waiting.

Have you tried sticking your finger up his booty and see if anything is possibly lodged deep down in there?

He has a blockage in his digestive tract.

Take him to the ER.

My friend did this, not once, but three times with the dog he had back in college.

"I ain't paying money I ain't got for someone to do something I can do for free."

Every time it was a rope toy.

Does she eat drywall? Every chocolate lab I've known, usually through roommates, would eat the wall. Not the wooden borders or doorframes, just the drywall.

Ha, no she hasn’t…yet. I bred and raised labs growing up, bought my first truck from puppy money. Never had a chocolate, all yellow and black. I had a yellow female who ate the wooden baseboards in my parents kitchen and ate through the drywall in our garage (that was in tandem with a black male). They all chew and/or dig and are demon spawns until around 2, but they’re cute when young and great when they settle down and mature

I’m guessing they will see a blockage

Same thing happened to my lab at 12 months, dumbass ate like 6 socks. Had to have surgery or would’ve died
