It must be tiny, or did you take the picture with a potato?

I’d estimate the body was about an inch to an inch and a half. The whole thing with legs out maybe 4 inches.

Growing up in Hawaii, there were tons of the black and yellow garden spiders. We run though the spider loaded shrub areas and come out with spiders and web all over us LOL.

The Louisiana tarantula, also known as the Texas
tarantula or Mississippi tarantula
so, wherever it's found, that's what it's called? hmmm

How did you manage to get satellite imagery of it?
ETA: This is a legit 4 inch spider. Notice how I was able to get close enough to identify it.

My garden is loaded up with jumping spiders and green spiders. I'd love to have some true garden spiders, but I have not had much success finding them. If you live in Baton Rouge I’ll load you up with them. I’ll get you some banana spiders(orb) also.

Kaneohe?
Yes. Lived on a hill overlooking the runway. Used to watch the Crusaders and Skyhawks take off and land. It was a great place to grow up (Dad wasn't quite as thrilled as we stayed there a long time because he went to Vietnam three times).

sounds like your Dad was stationed there at about the same time as another retired Marine that I knew, did several tours in Vietnam

None of the harmful venomous spiders are going to leap up and attack you. They don't jump. They want to be left alone.
The jumping spiders are harmless and will jump away from you, not towards you.
You wanted make it at my house. My garden is full of spiders (and wasps).

It is a spider, not an aligator. I assure you that you can get close enough to get a picture better than that and it isn't going to attack you. Besides, it is almost always the spiders you don't see that you have to worry about.
Download the iNaturalist app and take better pictures next time. That app can tell you what just about any bug, animal, plant, or fungus is. If it can't, the other people using it can.
Here's a Butterfly Orbweaver for your troubles:

Dad was on Hawaii from 58 to 69 (other than a short stint in California).
When he went to Vietnam to command a squadron, he wanted an F4 squadron. But, he had a lot of helicopter experience (first grad of the first USMC helicopter school) that they gave him a helicopter squadron.
He had a nice builder's model of the F4 until some punks handled it in his "Marine room" and tore it up.

they definitely were there at the same time, did your Dad fly the -46?
ETA: I'm guessing you were one of the punks?
