Victims are too white and too pro-Trump.

Also, highlights the utter incompetence of Biden/Harris.

And, as a bonus, would raise questions about why hundreds of billions of US taxpayer dollars are going elsewhere, and not to help these people.

Heartbreaking to see all the posts seeking out information on missing family and friends.

My rant would be better off the pol board.

Yet I’ll tell you this, when I see that sawed off grifting bastard from Ukraine over here begging for money, while thousands of fellow Americans are missing or dead, it makes me pretty damn angry

Just a great business. 100% of his donations goes to the people needing help, he keeps none. He does it himself by actually going there boots on the ground. Been buying beans from him for 4 years now. The link is in the tweet.

Stocking Mill Coffee @smcroasters Please Share and RT Update on hurricane help. We are set to house 3 families temporarily in hotels and food already for a month each. We have addresses of some houses between Spartanburg and Asheville to help clean up. Will also be working with a pizza place to deliver hot meals to workers and people in the area… All the connects are because of y’all and can’t tell you how much it means. We will keep the drive going until tomorrow at noon then headed out Tuesday to get busy. We don’t drop supplies at collection spaces- we get it straight to the people. Here is a link to donate if you’d like.

@smcroasters

Family we can use your help the next couple days.

Please RT and share!

We will be headed up with some supplies and to help hands on this week in the Spartanburg and Asheville area.

We will be doing hands on cleanup and bringing some supplies to our friends and family in the area.

We aren’t just dropping supplies off at a station…we are taking it right to the people like we did in the KY floods and Fl hurricanes.

This just posted by an Augusta GA resident I follow on youtube for football commentary:

This is 260 miles inland from Helene's landfall... as the crow flies.

This is some of the most jarring video of the destruction that I've seen. He's right, where the hell do you even start?

That’s like Biblical flooding. It’s so incredible and so horrific.

Alright OTers... where do i find up to date info on road closures? I'm looking at coming up towards boone via 321, hopping onto 105 heading west to sugar mountain. Might be doing operation extract my dad this week. His vehicle got crushed by a falling tree...

Don't try the mountains. Approach from the east 421 is a fine four lane road much of the way and that doesn't show closures right now.

You might ask him what his neighbors need and bring things they may need. to them.

WLOS tv in asheville has had transportation links.

I wonder how deep that is? I’m not good at logistics but I’d think maybe bring dozers in and just scoop to the side and then clear??

From a helicopter vid I saw, one end of lake lure is just filled up with debris. You’ll need to get barges out there with heavy equipment on them or something.

How you get a sizable barge out onto that lake given the tight and winding roads? I have no idea

I know they've told people flat out not to drive in western NC. I wonder if police are hassling people trying to get in to areas to help/get people?

T Mobile has trucks in route that are mobile cell towers. I assume other carriers will be doing the same

Just got back from the other side of the Nolichucky. Went across the Jackson bridge. Bumpass Cove looks to be the hardest hit and hardest to get supplies to. Jackson closing tomorrow for repairs and Snap bridge should be open. A lot of volunteers needed if youre in the area and especially if you have a SxS. Expect to find bodies and stranded old people needing help.

TideWarrior, if you have family in the area that needs support just post their address (not exact address just street name and house description) and list of supplies needed and I can have it to them by noon tomorrow.
