For some reason I feel like I remember Shaq needing a specially made bed due to his size on his MTV Cribs episode.
Although it could have very easily been because he is rich, so why not.

At one point he owned a suite in the Lod Cook hotel on campus and it definitely had a huge custom bed.

Of course he has his mattresses custom made. You think that dude sleeps on a normal mattress? Mid thigh down would be on the floor.
I knew a guy who was 6’6” and he had custom stuff built. Shaq is 7’1”. Everyday things begin to matter. Office chair, height of desk, height of kitchen counters. This doesn’t even touch on the OT worthy topic of how he and the girl friend manage things.

My paw paw was 6'6. He didn't have to have any custom made shoes/clothing though. He did have to buy pants and suits from big and tall stores .

I was talking about in his house. This dude was mostly legs and he had his home office desk raised because his knees were constantly slamming into it. Also his kitchen counters and island. He loved to cook and bending over to reach the counters was fricking up his back. Like I said, he had really long legs so his height was probably equivalent for reach to 6’8” or something.
