This was weeks ago. Before the sport leagues shut down and really anything else shutdown as well.
At this time everyone was still saying "just wash your hands and you will be fine". Besides, it's not like flying to New York put her at an increased risk, she could have just as likely contracted it while going to the local grocery store at home.

I wonder how much of that story is fabricated...
Yep, unfortunately I wont believe any of these unless its someone I know personally.

Nah it's more likely she caught it in New York and ended up spreading it across her county.

in early march she was DEFINITELY at a higher risk in NYC than Ft Worth

it was less than a week from the NBA having the plug pulled and it was becoming questionable to travel then. I know we restricted travel on the 4th. She clearly was concerned about it or she wouldn't have taken the precautions she says she did.

The article says she was the 7th person to test positive in her county.

So she contracted this some time after March 6, had sort of a difficult bout of pneumonia, but already appears to be getting over it, all in the span of about two weeks?
Sort of flies in the face of a lot of the supposed timelines they’re postulating here.

i got into this on the poli board yesterday with TigerDoc when he brought up "the science"
THERE IS NO SCIENCE WITH COVID-19

there is no real science on COVID-19, bro
it's a novel disease and we have no idea how many people have even been infected. plus, speaking about our initial response, China covered it up and distorted the initial data. this is why EVERYONE is having trouble stopping it, including developed areas like Western Europe (good parts, like Germany)

It blows my mind how China is just going to get away with all this shite too. Consistently lied about the virus until it was too late, and is now almost surely lying about their numbers to make it seem like they've got it under control. All with no repercussions.

I wasn’t trying to make any sort of generalized point about pneumonia. Just trying to analyze this particular story at face value.

Why are the tests important? If you think you have the symptoms, quarantine yourself and assume you have it.
You’d think so but some employers are going to require a test
