Alright OT, I need some input.

I have recently received a notice informing me that my monthly premium is about to increase by more than $200/month (about 250% increase). I am single with no kids. Apparently, I am now required to carry maternity?? Is anyone else experiencing a similar lube-less fricking? I mean this coverage doesn't even include dental and vision.

Is this all a direct result of the ACA?

FWIW, I'm with Blue Cross.

Is this BCBS issue or employer?

In case something bad happens you won't owe hundreds of thousands in medical bills

Thanks, Obama. My insurance premium is $48/month, dental is $9/month and vision is like $1/month.

My company did away with the high deductible, no monthly cost to employee plan. I'm single with no kids and haven't been to a doctor in over 25 years so this was very beneficial to me. Now I have to sign up for the $150/month plan that I'll never freaking use.

That was a fun day when I found out my medical was going from $89/month to $223/month.

Of course it's all due to the ACA. Anyone that couldn't see this being a disaster is challenged upstairs. When you hear "We have to pass it in order to see what's in it", then it won't be good. Even the stuff those crooks do read isn't good for the rest of us.

You are basically paying for a catastrophe. Like cancer. But if you get cancer, they'll find a way that it is not covered.

Was just notified in today's mail that my premium is increasing by $160.00/month. Single here, also. I guess someone has to subsidize coverage for those who are not willing to work and pay their own premiums.

Mine is going up to $380. Single, no kids.
I pay $275 now. I haven't been to a doctor since Bill Clinton was president. (other than a couple of physicals and the dentist)
I'm going to drop it and pay the fine.

You have not been to the doctor in 25 years?

It is extremely rare for me to get sick or hurt, and I expect that to be true for many other people, but 25 years?

The W in "wth" isn't what... it's who. And the who is everyone out there not paying for insurance.

At least you get to feel good about yourself for helping those less fortunate, St. Paddyshack.
