I've been uninsured for two years, but as I'm getting into my late late 20's, thinking about getting married, etc. I'm beginning to be more concerned about my health and thinking about getting health insurance... This thread makes me want to throw up.

Elections have consequences...

Once the employer and individual mandates fully kick in the populous will realize how truly f'd they are.

Thanks, Obama. My insurance premium is $48/month, dental is $9/month and vision is like $1/month.
You're poor.

Apparently, I am now required to carry maternity?
And birth control, and drug and alcohol treatment, and newborn care. Oh, and pediatric, including dental and vision.

What, you'll never need some or any of that stuff? That's okay. Somebody out there needs you to pay for theirs, so you've been legislated into doing a good deed. Now pat yourself on the back and thank Obama and Democrats.

Yes, and then the unexpected happens, you hit your head, and need an MRI. I mean it's your money, but at the very least, put money into a medical savings account.

FWIW, I'm with Blue Cross.

Just found out my premium is going from $230 to $400 a month. I am a healthy, young and single male. This is fricking bullshite.

Pretty soon it's going to cost me more to pay the fine so I am going to have to get it at some point. Which makes zero sense because I don't need it.

I don't hate the idea of socialized medicine but that is not what is going on.
