do some research.

no, not a direct result of ACA.
I thought even the dumbest of the dumb have figured out how bad of a thing the ACA was. Even big supporters of it have wised up. I'll be damned...

Looking at healthcare.gov it's:

2015 - $325 or 2% (whichever is higher)

2016 - $695 or 2.5% (whichever is higher)

You're gonna pay the percentage unless you're just poor as frick.

Barry's supporters will NEVER admit that his signature piece of legislature is an utter failure.

You don't know how this works man.

a bad thing

does not translate to
the reason that particular person's bill is going up by a particular dollar amount.

Dumb? name calling is a substitute for logic.

Honest question that I've always wondered: how many broke people in the hood, homeless people, or Mookie out hustling and gangbanging are getting online at healthcare.gov and signing up for health insurance and filling out the proper paperwork?

Except, I firmly believe in my case (and many others) that it does translate into exactly that.

Look, we all know they aren't. That's never been what this was about.

None, because they're showing up in my ER after getting shot or stabbed and getting Medicaid.

well if you make less than $30k I think you get insurance for free so of course you would have it then. This system is so flawed. I make too much to get any kind of assistance but not enough to where $400 a month doesn't hurt.

How do they know if you aren't insured?

They fine you when you file your Federal Income Tax return. I guess if you don't file you're not subject to the fine.

frick, if Terd is right then I have to pay $1700 penalty this year.

Hmm. damn $1700 for nothing or $4000 for almost nothing.

wait, I'm stupid. I have insurance this year so even if I do drop then penalty won't be paid until I pay my taxes in 2017. I'm good.

they asked a question on the return if you have insurance (yes/no)

if you claim yes - you then need to prove you have it.

if you claim no, they give you a warning that they are taking $$ from your refund

Did they ask how long you've had it for?

You could just sign up before you have to file.
