Most likely wouldn't nuke but would take out all known missile sites. I honestly don't know how NK would respond, whether it be taking it up the arse or firing missiles into SK

We need a weapon with nuclear level destructive capability but no radioactive fall out. Wouldn't harm Japan or S Korea.

Is that possible?

Any physicists on this board?

What you're looking for is the rod of God, baw.

Aka kinetic energy weapon.

You'd better hope it is. The result of a ballistic missile attack on a U.S. state could best be described as... "bad".

Your sig quote would become mighty relevant.

I've eaten enough aluminum foil in my life to know that this was a government test run for the inevitable attack.

...by aliens.

I'm gonna go with a hack that the government is going to try to cover up.

Dude, I’m sure there’s tons of black budget technology that the military has that we aren’t aware of.

Theoretically?

Yes.

Ranging from low tech kinetic strike weapons (which I believe violates lots of treaties anyway) or figuring out how to generate/store antimatter.

Nope. Kinetic weapons are legal under the 1960s space weapons treaty.

Biological and nuclear are banned however.

Depends on the political power of who is using them.

Conventional weapons are allowed.

But using like what is suggested is definitely a weapon of mass destruction, which is banned.

I don’t think the treaty expressly defines WMD as solely NBC.

Got a text from my buddy that is visiting his new grandson for the first time in Maui. He said it scared the shite out of him. Then the second alert came. He was ready to run to the beach to watch the missiles come in, but it was just to say the first was a false alarm.

How do you make a mistake like this? Not to be all tinfoil hat, but do you think the government would admit we were shot at so quickly? Especially if we shot it down
