Always Had a lot of issues with sleep but it's really fricking annoying. Can't seem to sleep more than 6 or 7 hours at best. Even if I'm dead tired exhausted, I wake up too soon. I fell asleep last night at like 8 or 8:30 and I was awake at 3, exhausted and unable to go back to sleep. I also have a hard time falling asleep sometimes but haven't felt that has been an issue recently

What's you activity level during the day? What are you doing during the last 2 hours of your day?

Well, itbalso doesn't help I either fall asleep 3-4 hours earlier than I wish or 1-2 hour later than I wish.

How old are you? I find I sleep much less than I did in my younger days. 6-7 hours is average for me and I'm 54. Probably been sleeping this much for the past 10-12 years.

My 19 year old son will sleep 12 hours every night between semesters if he can.

I can sleep 8hrs almost nightly. Head hits the pillow and doesn't move until the alarm. Start making a schedule. Stop using devices about an hour before bed, keep it quiet or use some binaural beats before bed. Go to bed at the same time every night. Set your alarm for 6 hours and then keep setting it later and later.

I've fallen asleep to binaural sounds a few times without turning them off and had the most vivid dreams and heaviest sleeps.

Up your collagen intake via supplements

Try a diffuser with a nice blend of essential oils (lavender, valerian, orange, yang ylang)

Get a sound machine app

30 minutes before bed eat two bananas.

I was in that 6.5-7 hrs rut as well for a few years. Routine is key to success. Sleep is no exception. In about 3 weeks time I was getting around 8-9 hours/night and still do to this day.

Routine. It worked as kid when parents did it for you. It'll work again.

6 to 7 hours is a good bit of sleep.

If you have trouble going down or falling back to sleep play 10 minutes of Tetris before settling back in.

I have this, and I feel it is satisfactory. If my body naturally wakes me at 6 hours of sleep at 400...so be it.

I am even this way on weekends.

Don't watch TV when in bed, I've been listening to podcasts every night when I get in bed and it's changed everything. If you can't listen to podcasts, read a book when you get in bed. Just avoid viewing electronic screens

Same thing for me falling asleep is not the issue its the getting back to sleep. I'm in my early to mid 40's and my exact wake up time in the middle of the night is between 3:15 to 3:30 am. The minute i open my eyes i know around what time it is. Once that happens My mind starts thinking about what happened yesterday or whats happening today. I have found that by clearing my mind out for like 3 to 5 mins helps me fall back to sleep. Its like my body wants to fall back to sleep but my mind thinking about the day keeps me from falling back to sleep. Try it.

In bed around 10ish, wake at 4. Been that way for ten years. You're not gonna sleep like you did when you were younger.

Thread hijack/

It never made sense to me that some people can sleep 5 hours a night and be content with how they feel all day. Others might feel like they need up to 9.

And wrap a hot towel around your head, Ferris.
