well since they'll both be around a year difference in age they could have a very close relationship with each other growing up

Any of you baws had kids back to back this close? Any tips would be helpful.
They will be best friends as toddlers then try to kill each other for the next 10-12 years

Go from a double team defense to man-on-man

1. Let the poor girl relax for a little after #2 arrives. She barely had time to rest after #1 before you jumped on the horse again. Hell, she had to still be breast feeding at that time!
2. I would say #2 is a game changer (it's much easier to divide and conquer when you have just one), but you really won't know much of a life without multiple kids, so it probably won't be a huge adjustment. It will somewhat be like rolling them off of an assembly line.
3. Be kind to your wife. She will have spent nearly 3 straight years of either being pregnant and/or taking care of infants. You have just now moved into a distant 3rd (or 4th) on her priority list. Accept it.
4. Congrats!

Pullout game: Skrong [Not Skrong]
OP, please disregard. I was talking about your wife's baby daddies.

I'm guessing your wife isn't breaat feeding?
What am I missing about breast feeding and not being able to bang the wife? My wife had baby number 2 February 20, she's still breast feeding and we're having sex. My wife actually put the moves on me Saturday
OP, congrats on baby number 2. Mine are almost exactly 2 years apart, so we were somewhat still in baby mode. As dad, I've taken on a bigger role with the older boy but I haven't been as hands on with the baby as I was with the first one. The older one has learned that he has to depend on me more than he did before his little brother came

I mean, right? Just missing Irish Twins. Step you game next time.

Mine are like 16 months apart, so a little farther than yours. It's easier than you think, especially since you are still in the baby mode around the house
This. Ours are 16 months apart and its great having 2 boys so close together to play with. We plan on having a decent gap before the next 2 but will probably go back to back again.
It is funny how different they can be though, the oldest is my spitting image and the younger one looks just like her side. Older is reserved/shy and the younger is way more outgoing (apparently everyone at the grocery store is there to see him in his mind) and has absolutely zero concern for his safety.

generally, while a woman is breastfeeding, all of her hormones are telling her to not have sex since her body knows she is still taking care of an infant

My first two are 14 months apart, so I feel your pain. #3 and #4 are 23 months apart. #2 and #3 are nearly 14 years apart. Different moms.
My advice, work a lot.
Seriously, though, just be ready to lose sleep. Your kids will have a built in playmate and likely a lifelong friend like no other. Gets much easier a couple of years down the road.

Had mine 15 months apart and believe it or not, it was planned. It makes things a lot easier and you are still in baby mode. Only negative I have is I find we tend to age up the younger one.
We actually ended up having our third 22 months after the second so our oldest and middle are 15 months apart and the middle and youngest are 22 month apart. It is pretty crazy but easier than I would think having to do some of this stuff over again ever 3 years.

We've got 3 kids - 4, 2, 11 months and our fourth is due in October...Married 5 1/2 years.
Let's just say there isn't really anything I can say to prepare you for life with kids so close together, other than to love your wife well. As another poster stated, she will have spent basically three years pregnant and/or breastfeeding/taking care of an infant.
It will all be a blur. Embrace the chaos.
