Having a wife that also works and a grandmother that comes over and cooks is how we roll

Similar here. My husband works a non traditional job that often has him at the house all day while I’m at work. I still come home and cook for us.

I’d love to pat myself on the back and say it’s because I’m such a good wife, but it’s mostly because cooking is my #1 interest/hobby and I’m much better at it and want to eat my own cooking.

If you want to be happy

People have known this for a long time... even have a banger song about it.

Take care of her. Realize what you have.

I took over cooking five years ago. Her health declined and I lost her over a year ago.

I cooked and took over everything she needed. I would give a day, a year for one more day.

My cooking didn’t do her in.

I cook most every night. I really enjoy cooking and it offers me a way to unwind each day. Throw on some tunes, grab a cocktail, and get to cooking a nice meal. There’s little better than putting a smile on your family’s faces when you really nail a dish.

Ditto, and I don't know why there are downvotes here.

I love to cook. And I love to cook for others. That doesn't mean I don't love for others to cook for me.

One of my favorites is cooking a meal together. My SO did this last week with me. It was just a simple seared tuna salad, but we knocked it out together while catching up and it's a great feeling to know that your partner can just do exactly what you're looking for without even having to ask her. Having a cocktail and spending quality time together is one of my favorites.

My wife has been getting more into cooking lately. She made her first smothered pork/rice and gravy this past Sunday, and it came out phenomenal.

Yeah! Soon be 58 years of happiness, is a miracle. She will soon be 80, yet she works at the Church, cleans the Guest house, and plants flowers, She prepares food for the sick.
She was up past Mid Night, cooking a strawberry pie for me, and baking loaf bread for the Church.

I cooked when she was working, (RN) . After I retired I prepared the evening meals.
And, she was always ready to play as long as I was functional.

I often wonder why God smiled upon me so lovingly. Thanks, thanks, thanks.

For many years I had to be at work at 4 AM. My wife would have breakfast on the table at 3 AM. She would also cook dinner.

She had a full-time job as well.

Yeah...I think I will keep her.

My wife is Italian and making sure I'm fed is an obsession with her. Even when she isn't speaking to me she still cooks for me.

That is very sweet of her, but man.. As someone who waits until noon or so to eat for the first time, I can't imagine popping out of bed at 3AM and sitting down for a hot meal.

Without a doubt. My wife is an amazing cook. She's the best. Life with an awesome wife just amplifies life.

I can eat breakfast at any hour.

I usually didn't stop for lunch during the day. We would eat an early dinner.
