Won’t lie. Robin Williams shook me up. When my little brother was diagnosed terminal we watched/listened to a bunch of Robin’s work. Robin’s sudden death brought back a flood of memories.

Michael Houser (January 6, 1962 – August 10, 2002)
Founding member and lead guitarist of the band Widespread Panic.
Don't hate. I had to dig deep, what, with this disturbing lack of emotion, sympathy and empathy I've got going on.

Cry? No. But i was bummed out when Hank Aaron passed. He was the hero of my little league team.
I was bummed when Shug died, and also when Bear died. End of an era.

I remember when they announced on the radio that Pat Tillman died from friendly fire.
I didn’t cry so much as start screaming, “ Mother frickin’ frick frick frickin’ bullshite.” , in the middle of traffic.
That might be the strongest reaction I can remember to a so called celebrity death.
Most celebrity deaths my reaction is...

Although she wasn’t a “celebrity” in the traditional sense, there was a little old Italian lady that used to make cooking videos on YouTube. I think that she was in her late 80’s when she started and kept doing them until she was in her 90’s. Her grandson would film her cooking while she talked about growing up during the Great Depression. Her videos always began with her sitting in a chair and saying “I’m Clara and I’m...whatever her age was.” I think she did her last one when she was 94. The final episode began with a shot of her empty chair and her grandson saying that she had passed away.
She reminded me so much of my grandmother that I literally broke down in tears when I saw the final episode. Who could have guessed that I’d form such a strong emotional attachment to a woman I never met. I can’t bring myself to watch the videos again because they bring back such strong memories of my grandmother who I still love and miss even though she’s been gone for over a decade.

didn't cry, but I had to get drunk after Eric Clapton killed SRV with that sketchy chopper pilot he sent to get him. Still hate that fricker..
At least know the actual events if you are going to get pissed off, The chopper was not sent to pick up SRV by Clapton. There were 4 helicopters waiting, SRVs assigned seat on one chopper was mistakenly given to someone else. One of the other choppers has a empty seat, it was caring Clapton’s tour manager, and two other members of Clapton’s entourage who were killed in the crash. Getting n that particular helicopter was totally random.

My son called me crying when Gregg Allman died. He said he didn't know why it hit him so hard, but it did.
Granted I had him listening to the band from an early age.

Not hearing about Kobe’s death, but the funeral and tribute got to me.
Most every funeral makes me cry though.

Mom cried when Elvis died.
That was huge for a lot of people. I mean, Elvis was The King.

I remember some girl I knew was obsessed with Michael Jackson and she attempted suicide when he died. OD’d on some pills. I brought it up to her years later and she hasn’t spoken to me again

A childhood friend of mine was right in the middle of drinking himself to death and broke down sobbing when James Gandolfini died. Took him another two years to finish the job.
I was seven but I vaguely remember a lot of people crying when Elvis died. And at least one when John Lennon died.

Phil Hartman was a big one for me but I didn't cry. It especially sucked because Bill McNeal was the part he was born to play.
