Have you ever worked somewhere and get blamed for just about everything that goes wrong?

They conveniently look for someone to point the finger towards.
Perhaps at some point you may have said 'to hell with it' and quit. Later on, you find out that the company or department had gotten worse after your departure. Turns out you weren't really the problem after all.

Exactly the result of my first marriage.

Yea, my home. My boss (wife) blames everything that goes remotely wrong on me. I'm tenured, though, so I'm not quitting.

Sounds like you suck at your job.
I've certainly managed other people that have messed up when giving analyses to our C-suite and I've taken the blame for them. They're employees under me and doing work I'm in charge of overall, thus it is my responsibility.

Yeah, back when I worked in local government with the parks dept.
For like 20 years, they even called me by the wrong name.

I'll take the blame for some people by choice. If people try and put me on blast for shite that isn't my fault, they are gonna get chewed out in front of everyone every time

there's usually a reason you get blamed.

Do you even internalize, baw?

Yes. My first accounting job out of college. The companies IT/network room was right by my office. Every time the network had an issue the owner told co-workers I was purposely screwing it up. Pissed me off. Eventually I was given additional duties as the IT guy and the issues suddenly vanished.

That had to have sounded so much better in your head.

This is usually how ex employees are treated. Even stuff they never had anything to do with is their fault.
Posted on 3/6/19 at 12:48 pm to Tarik One
No, I'm pretty capable of proving things aren't my fault
I know what I'm doing so good luck to anyone that randomly decides to assign blame to me for something I didn't do

If you are the one being blamed for every problem, I would think that to some degree there is a reason for it.
But if someone blames shite on you, you have to keep that person in check. Wait for the perfect opportunity to turn the table around on them. If you don't and allow yourself to take the blame for shite you didn't do, then they will continue to blame shite on you.
