Any realtor that’s been in the game for a while and is actually good at what they do, is not even gonna waste their time on showing you a house that you can’t afford.
Sure, in an open house, can you walk around and look? Absolutely.
Are they gonna spend much time with you without having a lender qualify your price range? Not a chance

I mean when my wife and I were looking to move we did the Parade of Homes deal and there were a couple on there that were super expensive and we walked through mainly for ideas..

Way back when we lived in California and only had two young kids, we spent some time in Pebble Beach. We were driving the 17-mile drive and the kids were getting restless. So, we stopped at a house for sale with "a million dollar view for only $695,000." It let the kids romp for a few minutes and give us a break. The kids did just fine and didn't mess anything up. It was worth the 20 minutes.
