Yes.
Both. Do it a lot when hunting. Made a 3 week tour of the country while laid off a few years back.
It was cheap. I can sleep well just about anywhere.

1) Yes/No?
Yes. I slept in my truck bed. It was the weekend before I graduated so I used my graduation robe as a blanket.
2) Reason: Exploration or Financial?
I was wasted. Way too drunk to drive and thankfully had the common sense to sleep it off.
3) Length of Time: Number of days/nights?
Just that night
4) Comfort: How did you make the best of it?
It was fricking awful. Never again.

Sleep in the campershell often when exploring the wilderness
Posted on 12/19/19 at 1:38 pm to LSU Coyote
1) Yes
2) Did this on a few road trips to save $$. A couple of times I was tired after full day of tailgating/game and just needed a couple hours of sleep so I wouldn't crash.
3) Anywhere from 3 hours to 7-8 hours
4) Leaning the seat all the way back is best, but I have slept in the back of an SUV as well. Rolled up shirt or jacket for a pillow and its not all that bad.

Yes Indeed!
Florabama in college. I was grateful to unlock it, much less drive it somewhere. Friend passed out on the beach. I made it to the car.

Yes.
Camping and didnt want to bother with tent.
3 nights
My car fits a blow up mattress, so it was not an issue.

Yes
2) Reason: Exploration or Financial?
The situation at those particular times called for it. Sometimes financial, sometimes stupid.
3) Length of Time: Number of days/nights?
Longest was two nights.
4) Comfort: How did you make the best of it?
Comfort was never high on the list. You just dealt with it.
One of the best times, I saw a friend in the parking lot after classes our freshman year. One asked the other, "What are your plans this weekend?". "Don't really have any, we should go to Florida".
Well, six hours later we're in Destin or Ft. Walton or whatever. And with what little money we had (we had even less cares in the world) was not going to be spent on a hotel room.
So we stayed at the beach and slept in the car.
Ironically, we saw some people we knew that offered us the floor of their room, of which we declined.
The ride back that Sunday, we were some crisp, foul smelling fools.

Depends on the distance. Out of state hunts I use my commuter vehicle. It's a camry, i just lay a sleeping bag in the back seat and curl up. I have an old beater truck that I use when I'm only a couple hours away from home. I usually put up a tailgating tent and back the truck under. I put a cot in the bed of the truck and sleep there.

Yup, 3 times I can think of off hand.
Once in the middle of nowhere Idaho. Was in a tiny arse Chevy Aveo hatchback rental car, would not recommend, even with the seats cranked back. Had a sleeping bag though, good thing too since it was cold. Slept maybe 5 hours.
2nd time was on a roadtrip with a buddy in a WalMart parking lot. Too cheap to get a hotel that night lol. Got maybe 3 or 4 hours sleep.
3rd was a drive up to the Smokies. Left after work, got into Smokemount at midnight, said f pitching a tent since I needed to be up at Clingmans Dome before sunrise. Just drove the rest of the way up and slept in the car 4 or 5 hours.
Everytime was cold and a bit cramped but I had my sleeping bag and only needed to grab a few hours. I'd only want to do it a night or 2 in a row, tops.

Spent the summer of 78 living out of a 72 Impala station wagon (Nicknamed “The Whale”) in the Wayside Park parking lot next to the Ramada Inn in Fort Walton Beach. Best Time Ever!!
Used to sleep in car fishing on the bridge in Gulf Breeze

Yes, if you ever duck hunted public in the state of LA there is a good chance that you have slept in your car and also slept with your dog.

Last time I slept in my car was during a day/night 3 gun match. Had a futon mattress in the back of an Expedition. Slept like a baby.

Rule #7 you're always responsible for your own sleeping arrangement. All of the time, when i'm out hunting, had a few too many, early start to events, the back seat of my truck fits a single air mattress, i keep one, sheets, blankets and pillows in a tote in the back.
