Went to high school and then worked with a guy for about a year. He was a fat son of a bitch, but I didn’t really notice any red flags at the time. Then a few years ago a friend of mine who also worked with him sent me an article he stumbled across. Not long after we had worked with him, he did a stretch in the pen for soliciting a 14 year old girl. He was out on parole when he began offering photography services in a Mountain Brook community forum. After reading that shite, literally everything I remember about him made sense in that context. It was right there the entire time. When I saw his mugshot I remembered thinking holy shite he looks and fits the physical appearance of a sexual predator.

My best friend in HS, who was in my wedding and I was his best man, became a children’s minister at a pretty well known church and is in jail for inappropriate touching with children from his church.
We hadn’t seen each other in about 4 years when it came out. It was pretty big news at the time in that locale. We only found out because my wife was talking to a college friend and she was talking about controversy at this really big church and mentioned it was a children’s minister. My wife mentioned my best friend was a children’s minister there and they put 2+2 together.
I struggle with going to see him in jail. I want the guy to know I love him but I’m honestly so grossed out by it I don’t know if I could look him in the eye.

Had a coach who I looked up to in high school get busted this year. Apparently, it has been going on for 30 years. Never in a million years thought he would be the one.

Had a close high school friend get arrested in Texas recently for "attempted sexual performance by a minor." Still haven't figured out what that means exactly or what happend. I haven't spoken to him in almost 20 years. I'm itching to know exactly what happened.

My brother's best friend when we were little. Kid got kicked out of the school we went to and we didn't really see him much after that. Years later, I did a search for sexual predators around our area before a move. Kid's name pops up. I was floored. Hadn't even thought of him in years. Turns out he did a stint in prison for "rape of the elderly or infirmed."
Fast forward another 10 years, I'm working for a doctor. An elderly patient comes in one day with her husband. Who is the kid we knew back in the day! She's like 75 and he's ~40. Going by a newish name. (Like if his name was Richard and he went by Richy as a kid, he's now Rick. Not the name but you get it). I was so grossed out. Turns out he's living with his elderly wife in a retirement center. Idk how he got in. So, so gross. As far as I know, he's still living there with her. Unless she's passed on at this point.

I've known several. Could be a St. Tammany thing, I guess.
One was a guy from Northshore High School who screwed a pig because he thought it would cure his acne. I feel certain that others here know this guy. He definitely looks the part; if I showed you his picture and said, "this guy fricked a pig" you'd believe me.

Supposedly I have an uncle that has mental issues that was molesting his children back in the day. I knew he went to prison but I never knew why. I know everybody in the family disowned him and nobody has any contact.

Had an acquaintance that was part of a Jeep club I was in years ago. He was strange AF and his daddy was as important as you can be living in Hammond.

He told us that when he was in high school this girl who hung out in his circle was not at school one day. After school he and some buddies went over to her house to check on her. They went to the back to come in thorough her patio doors. When they looked in though they saw her naked in the floor getting railed by her dog. They came in and caught her red handed. In exchange for their silence she agreed to blow all of them.
Now did he make it all up? Possibly. But to be honest, I don’t think he was smart enough to make up such a story on his own.

This guy was assigned to a semester project with me at LSU. He was one of the smartest people I ever met and loved model airplanes at the time. He was a savant at what he was initially going to school for but decided to throw all that away just to become a real pilot.
A couple of years after I graduated, I was having a beer in a bar after watching some football on a Sunday afternoon and then this came on all the TVs.
It was a very surreal moment that life isn't always as innocent as it seems.

Had a guy that we grew up with just because my parents were friends with his parents. Got busted in a big kiddie porn sting in our Parish.
Come to find out the pictures he was "trading" with other sickos were pictures of his own children (Which agents say is very common due to the easier access and these sickos work in groups trading pics to one another). Hopefully he burns in hell.
