I’ve got a pretty good story.

Freshman year at Ole Miss in the dorm, my RA’s name was Rippy. He was, what we thought, a cool guy relative to other RA’s. Didn’t care if we had dorm parties with booze and wouldn’t report people for sneaking girls in. He even told some of us to hide our weed in the refrigerator because the dogs the cops would walk through the hallways would have a much harder time smelling it. He had a pretty cute girlfriend too that was always in our hall and sitting with him when he worked the front desk.

Well, one day I get back from class on a random afternoon and there were no less than 15 cops on my hallway. I’m freaking out because I did have alcohol and pot in my dorm room. I stopped in my tracks then slowly backed away. I peered around the corner to see what was going on and I see Rippy sitting on the ground with handcuffs behind his back. Then I saw cops taking his computer away.

So I walk down the hall past Rippy’s room and a cop asks to speak with me. He asks me if Rippy had ever used my PC when I wasn’t around. I said no, but he had used it before to check his facebook while I was in the room with him. Cop said he was being arrested for child porn and trying to meet up with an underrage boy on the internet that ended up being law enforcement. Turns out he had also molested another kid. Cops took my computer but gave it back the next week, said he didn’t do anything nefarious with it.

Rippy ended up getting 7+ years in jail. Though later additional charges I think got him a lot more.

The good news for me was Ole Miss didn’t replace him and I didn’t have an RA the entire second semester freshman year. That was fun as shite to not have rules in there

I seem to remember this. I went there for 1 year back in the late 80s. Was it around this time frame? Also seem to remember something about a coach hooking up with a student too.

Damn, yeah that's him. Looks way different now. I guess jail as a child molester changes a man.

i was a summer camp counselor at a local YMCA for a couple of summers during college. There was a big dumb black kid, still in high school, who was also a counselor. He seemed like a "Lenny" type, but was otherwise nice enough.

One day the director called a staff meeting and announced that the guy had been arrested. Apparently he coerced some of the kids in the camp (attendees were ages 5-12) to go into the pool/locker room showers with him and got them to orally satisfy him. I think the kids were boys if I'm not mistaken.

I think he spent 5-10 years in prison.

Pig-screwer was class of 1991 if memory serves. So yeah, that's probably the same guy. He would have been a sophomore or junior in 1989.

Went to high school and played sports with a guy who ended up doing some serious hard time in Texas for some offenses with an underage relative. Completely tore his extended family apart.

Not nearly as bad as a live animal but some guy I went to HS with had a buddy walk in on him fricking a shampoo bottle. Like a good friend, he told everybody and that poor bastard had the nickname Prell for the rest of HS.

Not at all a predator like this thread is thinking of. Had a buddy who was either 20 or 21 was "seeing" a girl who was 16 behind her family's back. This was pre cell phone days, or at least where teenagers didn't have them so they saw each other for a couple months but her parents found out. Dude is actually a pretty damn good guy, crazy but more like live to the fullest crazy, not psycho drug head or short temper crazy.

They pressed charges and we all thought he was going away for 20 years at the time, just what everyone thought. His mom pleaded with the girl's parents to not press charges, his dad died when young. Her dad still did and I do not remember how long he was in jail for but it wasn't that long, at least compared to what we all expected. A year at the most.

He still had to have letters sent out when he moved somewhere about being a sexual offender to all the neighbors, no idea if that still the case today. This was all nearly 20 years ago, he's married with kids now, all daughters Good guy though.
