Have you ever interviewed via webcam for a job?

I may have an opportunity for a job, but there’s this weird webcam interview. Is this par for the course in the technology age?

Did the ad say they were looking for "models"?
They're not looking for models.

All you have to do is jack off man. You do it in front of your web cam like 4 times a day already. What’s the big deal?

I was offered this opportunity. I’m just not sure about it.

I’ve jerked it via webcam with a young lady from Belarus.

At this point I havr donr multiple skype interviews. It's basically taking the place of a phone interview in some cases.

Yeah except the awkward thing with a video round table and a conversation with potential coworkers.
Weird.

Yeah but it was called a video conference.

I did via Skype.
Job was in Tampa, FL
Wasn’t spending $500+ for a job I may or may not get when I already had a position locked up elsewhere.
They agreed to interview me via Skype. I still put on a suit. I just had to lock my dog outside. Was kinda awkward because halfway through they had technical difficulties and we lost connection. So we had to re dial

I did a couple a while back. They're pretty common in instances where the applicant pool is geographically dispersed to whittle it down to the couple people they bring in. I like it better than phone interviews.

I did last year for an NP job on Midway Island.
Did it via Skype on my phone while in Tahoe on a ski trip. Got the job and it was an awesome experience.
Hopefully I’ll have another Skype interview with the same company again in January for a position next summer in Yellowstone.

Yes, I got my current job without ever physically meeting anyone in my company. Just met them all Thursday for the first time actually. The company is based out of Salt Lake, and I work remote.
First interview was just on the phone, second interview was Skype. I didn't end up getting that job but we stayed in touch. About 6 months later they wanted to add another team member, and after several more calls they hired me.

Go with the ultimate power move and only wear the upper part of your suit.
Shirt, tie and coat
But the lower half is totally nude.
It’s called “Formal Winnie the Pooh”

Pretty par for the course these days. Saves time if you are interviewing with multiple people in multiple locations and saves money so they don’t have to fly you in for a face to face.
The technology is better so you can actually video chat to a face in lieu of a pixelated mess.

I did a Skype interview for a promotion a few years ago. Totally bombed it. My then boss at the time vouched for me and I had a face to face interview with the same people and I crushed it.

I did one time several years ago.
A buddy of mine and I were interviewing for a big tech firm. Unlike you, we had to setup our video conferencing equipment at a local library, so we were forced to deal with a bunch of kids.
It was just like any other interview. They asked the basic questions and something about a blender.
Coming from sales, tech was not my thing though.

Almost every programming job I've had did this before they fly you in for the in-person interview.
