Dude I had known since I was 10. Lived up the road. Hung out with him all through high school. Went to a party with him and some of his friends and his friends jumped me and one of my other friends for no reason. Just dumbasses wanting to fight. He wouldn't drive us home after. He then drove one of the guys who jumped us to the house then drove off with him because he was scared of going toe to toe.

Haven't talked to him since. He is one of the only people who I'd be glad to beat the frick out of. I doubt I'd be able to stop myself. My face is still crooked from being beat by 4 or 5 guys that night

frick man that sucks. had a similar experience. Was really drunk one night partying at a friend's in college. One of my "friends" i'd lived down the street from for 10 years decided to watch me get my drunk arse whooped by two sober guys who we also grew up with for no good reason, none of whom would have dared fight me sober and straight up.

The guy who initiated the fight died in a car wreck a few years later, I didn't feel bad about it. Of the other two involved, the one who kicked me goes out of his way to avoid me when I go back home, and the other I haven't spoken to since that night and never plan to again.

Yes 3 times. Sad to say I trusted all 3 of them. It was money and I was stupid enough to do it each time. It's well into 6 figures and I really don't think they will ever pay back. I've learned my lesson and hate to say this, but I can't lend money under no circumstances ever again. Ashamed to say this, but you can seldom trust people when it comes to money no matter how close you re to them. Sad ending.

damn dude.... 100+k?!

my daddy always told me never to loan out money you actually expect back one day

assuming she's not your blood relative, this is kind of on your wife for not telling you not to trust her mom.

So this douche kills a two year old child and is headed to prison for life and you're whining because he stiffed other douches out of $300?

If I were you, I would keep this “story” to yourself and stop banging family.

The night came to an end and he must of owned about $300 split up across several people (if I recall he owed me the least amount, it wasn't anymore than $20, but he owned one person over $150).

The horror.

How someone continued to live without that hundred bucks is incomprehensible.

Thank you. I didn't read op because of obvious reasons.... Because of you I now know what it was about. You managed to reduce a wall of text to 3 lines and I'd bet you captured 98% of the relevant details. Again, thank you.

A couple of years ago, one night, I was about to propose to my girlfriend when my roommate Joseph barged into the room out of nowhere, tripped and fell over, breaking a glass table with his face. Totally ruined the mood. Now, I didn't know Joseph THAT well, don't even remember where he was from, but let' just say I put my plans on hold to help him through his injuries.
Joseph had gotten big glass shard in his eye, making him completely blind in that eye. He was walking around with one of those cotton pads on his eye for a couple of months. Then suddenly, he disappeared, along with my girlfriend
Apparently they'd bonded during the time after his injuries, and eloped together , left me behind without as much as a note. I tried to track them down, but never could.
In conclusion, if it hadn't been for cotton eye Joe, I'd have been married a long time ago. Where did you come from, where did you go? Where did you come from, cotton eye Joe?

One of the guys I grew up with screwed my X girlfriend of 3 years right after we broke up, I'm still pissed about it.

Then another and another and another, then I figured out she wasn't anything but a damned whore and fricked all of my friends to piss me off.

One night in college, shortly after my girlfriend had broken up with me, my roommate's drunk girlfriend came into my room and woke me up by grinding on me. At the time I thought it would be a great story and did the deed with her but immediately felt like crap for what I did to him. I rationalized that they weren't going to make it long term regardless, and was probably depressed, but I hate how I betrayed his trust.

So I've screwed over my best friend...

Yes. Someone I trusted broke my heart and now I realize just how naive I really am to have bought into the idea that I could be to him what he was to me.

A good friend who I deployed with tried to screw me out of $500. The joke is on him though because he killed himself a few years ago.

Sadly, it has happens to a lot of good people. You just pick up the pieces, learn from it and do your best to move on with life.
Btw, welcome to this crazy place. It's not too late to turn around and run.
