This is a message board. Most of the time, my threads are based off of something I remember or something I think about and since it is a message board, it's for discussion. People can share their experiences or give their thoughts.
There are some of you who will come in my thread and say the same shite over and over. Sometimes I am in the mood to entertain it sometimes I am not. Either way, I can assure you I will not lose sleep because someone, I have no idea who they really are, but post under the name BRgetthenet thinks I am lying or that I suck or whatever else you might think.
And just a FYI.. Most of you who try to troll me are horrible at it. It's the same shite over and over. I will give OWL some credit, at least he will say something to me that at least makes me laugh....

Yes 3 times. Sad to say I trusted all 3 of them. It was money and I was stupid enough to do it each time. It's well into 6 figures and I really don't think they will ever pay back. I've learned my lesson and hate to say this, but I can't lend money under no circumstances ever again. Ashamed to say this, but you can seldom trust people when it comes to money no matter how close you re to them. Sad ending.

No. I for one am happy he posts random topics good for discussion. If you don't like it, don't click.
It’s the fact that he sucks at making threads. His format sucks, his cadence sucks, his layout sucks.
It’s pretty much why the site he created after he got banned sucked. He has no clue about presentation.
It’s not that the topic sucks so much as he sucks as a poster, and thus everything he touches is awful.

I like telling this story now and again to remind myself to not trust anyone.
I had an in with one of the minor league indoor football teams a few years ago. I did their websites, merchandise and what not. These guys paid their players $50 a game, so I wasn't getting rich off of it, but I made a few thousand bucks on the side.
I was laid off from a corporate job and while I was prepared financially - it was nice to have this money coming in. The team introduced me to a couple other teams and I picked up some more side work - enough that I briefly considered doing my side job full time, even though I was applying for other jobs.
I received a job offer and took it. I needed some help finishing out what I had begun with the semi-pro football teams. I was working my tail off until 2-3 in the morning on the technical stuff, but I needed help with the merchandising stuff. I "hired" a family member and she helped to finish it out. Did a decent job, but I was way too trusting. I let her have access to too much. She knew my vendors, what I was paying, etc.
When it was done and everything was paid, we split about $20,000. Wasn't bad for a month's work. She proposed that if we wanted to do some more of this type business - she would do the selling and I could do the backend work. I didn't have anything to lose so I agreed.
She royally screwed up everything she touched. I lost my business with the semi pro football teams because of her, I nearly got sued because of her, and then I found out that she had not been doing nothing - she had been making sales under her own company and using my vendors and contacts to fulfill the orders. I found out because I got a call for payment one day from one of my main vendors. She owed them $2000 for products that she had been paid for. I had to pay for it to keep from being sued.
I confronted her about it and she lied. I'm sleeping with her daughter though.

It's well into 6 figures
Damn man! You must be a good dude and there is nothing at all wrong with that, but there are people out there who will take advantage of it.
My dad use to always teach me to never let anyone take advantage of me. I think he did it to almost a fault because when I am dealing with people, in the back of my mind I am always thinking "what self interest do they have?". But over 6 figures is a lot and I would not let up on them as much as possible.
