Moenkopi, AZ. Everyone there spoke Spanish or Navajo. We white people were definitely getting the look.

Dad - How much are your shrimp? Guy - We don't have any. Dad - How much for live crabs? Guy - We don't have any. Dad - How much for oysters? Guy - We don't have any. Dad - (In French this time) That's too bad they aren't running right now. Guy - (looks shocked) How many pounds of shrimp you said you wanted?

But I've seen it all in a small town
Had myself a ball in a small town

Not personally, but my Dad got his arse kicked at some local bar in Lockport.
He was born in Lafayette, spoke French, so it's not like he was some Yankee. But something pissed off the locals.

Probably didn't stink enough...

I went to Hope, OR just looking for something to eat, maybe find an old buddy from the war. The sheriff didn’t like the look of me and tried to push me outta town like I didn’t belong. They drew first blood when they locked me up and treated me like an animal. I didn’t want a war, but once it started, I did what I was trained to do to survive. In the end, Trautman showed up—he was the only one who understood—and I finally gave it up.

I’ve hunted all over N America and have been to some super sketchy looking bars. Never had a single issue and most everyone people has been friendly and/or curious about Louisiana.
Same. Literally been all over and never once had a problem.
I did have to work down in Grand Isle for a few months one time in the early 2000s. It was me and a black guy that were down there. They treated me great, but he had issues being served everywhere and pretty much had to just stay at the motel. I had a guy come up to me at Artie's one night and basically told me that they didn't want him down there. I called our home office the next morning and told them they needed to send him somewhere else, and they sent me someone else the next week. They never threatened him or anything though, just acted like he wasn't even there.

Not really. I’ve felt unwelcome by certain people but that was more of an individual thing not a small town thing. Same with big cities too

Middle Tennessee gas stations with biracial children. Made sure to get gas in Nashville before we drove home.

I remember when this happened to John J. Rambo. It did not end well for the local cops.

I’ve lived in a small town my entire life and have never felt welcomed

Isn't that the norm?
The most common form of courtesy is the local police giving you a ticket for non existent motor vehicle violation. I got one of those in a small town in Kansas I'm still salty about.
It is bad enough if they create a speed trap and catch you. The amount of helpless rage you experience when you were ready for the speed trap, didn't speed, and were still tagged with a ticket is astronomical.

Never. But I blend in pretty well wherever I go.

ALLIGATOR MISSISSIPPI
Two a.m., been driving all night
Down a long, dark Delta road
No one around for miles, I need to stop for
Awhile
Still got a long way to go
Then I see a sign sayin' "Spend Some Time
In Alligator, Mississippi"
Right over the hill, that's where I'll get my fill
Of Alligator, Mississippi
I stop at the store, a hundred folks or more
Are gathered in the parking lot
They got guns and knives, evil in their eyes
And I feel my knees start to knock
It's a scary scene
I mean, like nothin' I've never seen before
Felt like a fish outta water, a lamb to the slaughter
Alligator bait for sure
I need to get gas and gone, 'cause I don't belong
In Alligator, Mississippi
Hope you never find, you got to spend some time

I felt the locals at the bar/cafe by the airport in Exuma got better treatment than me, but I can understand, they see them all of the time I'm just there for a visit.

Vidor, TX is a "sundown" town. If your skin is not pale, you better leave before sundown.

Grand Isle without a doubt.
