I have driven while slightly tipsy. But I have never driven while I was full on intoxicated.

Yes. In college. I can think of 3 times looking back now that I really shouldn’t have driven. They were REALLY dumb.
Now with Uber and Lyft, I never do it.

Only once where it was clear cut I shouldn't have been driving. At FIL's house for his son's YCP graduation party in Meaux (I married into a classy family). FIL started threatening to break my nose for his son getting too drunk, not sure how that was my issue. Wife slapped the shite out of him before I could. Had to leave while he was drunkenly trying to get his gun. Wife and I had both driven there so we had to get out of Dodge, she was sobered up due to slapping her dad, but I was not. Spent the entire drive from Meaux to Rayne focusing only on her brake lights. All I could really keep track of. Made it there in one piece. Never again.

Yes if we are talking “legally intoxicated”. Never felt like I wasn’t safe even though it’s still wrong. I was young and stupid. I never judge somebody for their first DUI because it could have been me.

Often in my teens. Not a good thing. The only time it scared the shite out of me was when I came to behind the wheel driving down a country road somewhere and had no idea where I was and how I got there.

Quite a few times back in college. Never 'can't remember how I got home' drunk....but drunk nonetheless. Got pulled over once and that shite stopped real quick. Haven't since.

Yes, in college and at some after work happy hours while single, never since then though
My kid's friends do the DD anytime they go out like for after prom parties or other parties, actually proud of them for doing that
But what's worse, driving drunk late at night or driving in rush hour traffic while looking at your phone or texting?

Blacked out once on Beale street and woke up in my bed at the home I grew up in while my parents were out of town. First and only time I did that.
