I am surprised that I haven’t but several near death experiences and several close friends who have been taken. Someone I work with had his 3 year old nephew shoot his 2 year old brother.

Yeah, ran into quite a few flies and moths on the road. I didn’t mean to kill them. It was an accident.

You're surprised you've never accidentally killed someone?

Have you ever been close to tragedy? Or been close to folks who have?
Have you ever felt the pain so powerful, so heavy you collapse?
I've never had to knock on wood, but I know someone who has.
Which makes me wonder if I could.
It makes me wonder if I've never had to knock on wood.
And I'm glad I haven't yet because I'm sure it isn't good,
That's the impression that I get.

When I was in high school, me and some friends were driving somewhere and we met a truck that was being driven by another friend. We were waving and he hung out the window to wave and be funny and lost control and wrecked. He was thrown out of the truck and the truck rolled over him, killing him. It was so fricked up.

No but I recently found out about my aunt killing a kid back when she first got her drivers license back in the late 60's or early 70's. I know the spot that is supposedly happened at and at this spot is a big hill. I guess she was driving home, probably a mile from her house, and this kid crossed the road on a bike and got hit and died. My dad was in the car as a kid and remembered that the kid didn't really look before crossing (they were probably just low enough down the hill not to see any cars coming). It was said that my aunt was sick for like a week or two and throwing up all the time. It really did a number to her (don't blame her) and she wasn't ever charged with anything and it was a total accident. The boy had his siblings there too and they witnessed it and agreed with my aunt's side of the story. Just a tragic accident.

I never knew of this until I was an adult, but my dad and siblings all went to school with that family that had the little boy that got hit. They I guess knew it was an accident and got along, but I also went to school with their next generation and I'm pretty sure neither of us (same grade and classes and rode same bus) knew anything about it, but we got along fine.

Not me. But, a friend of mine accidentally slammed into the rear of a car on the Interstate in another state and a 6 yr old boy in the other car was killed. She had a very rough time carrying that around for years!

What do you get out of saying this on an internet message board?
