DUI back when I was in college. My god that shite was expensive. Being in a cell, even if for a few hours, was quite a humbling experience. Safe to say I learned my lesson afterwards

Once. An event for which I desire forgetfulness. It was relatively incident-free--I mean I AM a privileged white fricker after all--but there was a spine-tingling wave of anxiety that hit me when the gate slammed shut behind me.
I've done a lot of things worthy of such confinement, but, on this particular occasion, they were bringing me in on trumped-up charges which were ultimately dismissed. Assholes. And, no, as a result, I will NOT donate money to your Police Union fundraiser.

Once. Was in HS and got in a fight with a guy who was giving shite to a kid trying to catch beads at a Mardi Gras parade.
No charges filed but I got to spend the night in jail. Never again.

hell I got out of a ticket at LSU for stumbling in the middle of the road in front of kappa sig, dick hanging out pissing at 3am bc the cops wife has been my grandpa's secretary for decades.

Forgot to pay a speeding ticket. Five years later I was playing live music at an outdoor festival when they introduced our band by names, they arrested me. After the set!
