I think my "why" has come and gone. Until the next time, I'm living on barrowed time!

The search for meaning . Understanding that life is suffering, that suffering is unavoidable, everything is temporal and learning the lessons that life gives you and understanding the meaning of those lessons .Being able to have peace within the maelstrom is is my constant goal. Peace. Acceptance.

You are getting downvoted but you have a simple way of saying to create more that you consume so the species gets a net benefit. That's the same for corporations. Create maximum wealth and the people who benefit from it can decide how to distribute it.

I’m like the guy in “The Jerk”.

I’ve found my “special purpose”.

No and most people probably don't.

The only things that gives me meaning in my life: my wife and child, and my pursuit of bettering myself for both my sake and my family's sake. Work is a means to an end. Something I do that I don't hate but I don't derive much joy from. I've tried many hobbies and the only thing that I enjoy all the time is playing video games. I love them, but they don't give me meaning or purpose either.

I have taken the bodhisattva vow.

The Bodhisattva vow is the vow taken by Mahayana Buddhists to liberate all sentient beings.

Edit: that, and to make lots of money so that I can give a good bit.

You can get wealthy while at the same time causing a net loss for humans. Scammers do it all the time
