Yes. I'm 66, my kids are grown, and I've had a blessed life. The amount of time I have left is in God's hands.

Yep. I was told at the end of 2021 that I probably not going to be around for 2024, so I had to come to grips with it if the chemo didn't work. I wrote a couple of goodbye letters and stored them in my safe and had a letter in my desk with the code for the safe, family would hopefully find it when cleaning out my stuff. That helped, it was recommended by a therapist when I was diagnosed the second time before I went through the stem cell transplants. Getting the opportunity to write those letters was something that a lot of people who die will never get the chance to do, so I was very fortunate for it.

I would say that, as far as a natural death, I don’t fear it. Anxious or nervous about the process, sure, but not fearful. I’ve had so many loved ones that have passed away that I look forward to seeing them again. As far as an unnatural death, like an accident, I don’t think about it too much. I know anything can happen at any time, but I don’t dwell on it for very long.

The idea of eternity, whether that be an eternity in Heaven/Hell or in oblivion, scares me quite a bit.
it should scare the hell out of most people bc most people are going to hell and refuse to listen.

I was given last rights when i was born and not expected to live. Every day of my 46 years of existence on this planet is a gift. When my time comes, i will have had far more than a expected and will die happy.

I have always lived with a sense of impending doom. I will find something to worry and fret about, no matter how good things are going overall.

I'm glad I never had kids. I have issues that don't need to be passed down to children.

As the Famous Philosopher, Morgan Freeman, said in "Shawshank Redemption" "Get busy living or get busy dying".

Dying is inevitable. Make the best of life, since dying is inevitable, just hope it doesn't drag on too long.

Yes, I have been close to it a few times, used to be afraid of death but not anymore. Every day is a blessing. People get caught up in everything else in life but what matters and that’s what is inside of you. I’m fortunate that I have found peace and am working more on spirituality. For me, sharing love and time with the people I love is the most important thing to me.

A few elderly people that I know have not accepted their mortality. One of them is 89, can barely walk, CHF, gasps for air and said he is worried about running out of money in 3 years. Another one says she can't buy anything because she will need money 10 years from now. Her health is horrible. 88 years old.

Yes. Use to get existential crisis on the reg. Realized there is nothing I can do and I didn’t ask to be here. Just hope I’m here long enough to see my kids grow up and hopefully have grandkids one day.

I work in healthcare I see people that are 60-70 years old get admitted for strokes, falls, heart attacks, things that maybe could have been prevented by eating better and exercise.

It just seems sad to work all your life and instead of enjoying your golden years, you are fighting medical conditions for things you may have been able to prevent.

Thats why I preach fitness on here. We all die of something. I just don’t want it to be something that I could have changed

I’ve accepted that one day I will die.

But not ready for it at this time.

Not afraid of death, since I stared it in the face on Jan. 1, 1998.

Was at the top of a mountain near Burnsville, NC, when my truck hit a patch of ice. Was only going 5 MPH or so (4WD, low range), but was heading downhill.

Steering and braking were useless, and I was headed for what was a very steep dropoff.

I only had seconds before I hit the cliff. I said a quick prayer and asked God that it be quick and painless.

Turns out it wasn't my time. Tumbled down till I hit one of the three trees in the area. To this day I have no idea how I wasn't seriously injured.

Loaded up on even more life insurance a few weeks ago. That simple task actually made me feel much more comfortable with potentially dying in the near future. Strange but true.
