I always looked forward to the racoon taco Tuesdays. Almost as good as the squirrel quesadillas.

My Bluetick would chew on their heads until it felt like a bean bag.

What is a “ nutria rat “ ?

I’ve trapped thousands of “nutria” and “ muskrats “ but I’ve never caught a “ nutria rat”.

You are trying to take my job being obtuse. If you have never heard them called a nutria rat then I have to assume you are deaf or have no connection with Louisiana.

This is no joke, the black dude who mows my grass was telling me he cousin gave him some coon meat he was going to cook for the super bowl. I am 100% serious.

We were talking for several minutes. He is an older guy and he told me that his grandpa, whose parents were slaves told him that they used to eat rats when they didn't kill anything on a hunt.

Evidently they raised pigs and they ate everything but the a-hole and eyeballs, but they only ate pig for special occasions. That coon would be a good meal for someone.
