Might tough to pull off since it is exam week, and next week start the holiday break.

Never underestimate the will of educators and administrators who want to get off of work early.

It wasn't like this 20 years ago. Today, they just don't want to get sued. Cant say I blame them. The injury attorneys are a sick bunch.

shite most schools have mid term exams this week. i doubt they will close due to weather. Especially since most are on half days with exams going on.

My kid in HS is done for 2022 after tomorrow. No attendance taken after Wednesday even though school is open into next week IIRC.

Our junior high kiddos are testing through this week then watching movies Mon/Tues next week. They ARE taking attendance for some reason.

All of that to say, they have some slack in the schedule if they should decide to close. Haven't heard anything but would not be shocked if they did.

Give me some examples of suits that have been filed for a school not closing because it's gonna rain.

The irony, if that's the right word, for public school kids in the south is the school is going to be safer than most of their homes whether home is a mobile home or an old wooden house.

Every child deserves a ribbon or in this case a passing grade. We did it for Covid.

aren't state agencies limited on the damages they can be sued for? Not an attorney so I'm honestly curious. While I appreciate your opinion on attorneys, at some point the shool systems could push back and remain open. Its a little too convenient to always blame the legal system.

I mean, students were killed when a tornado it the school at dismissal time (Alabama). Schools have been much more aggressively cautious since then.
