I enjoy watching his videos because he seems like such a nice guy, and his soft voice is endearing, but goddamn that dude makes some random shite.
I watched him make gumbo on a fricking Blackstone. Made his roux on the griddle, didn't measure shite, and the gumbo didn't look good. The best one so far is that he ferments green pine needles in a jar of sugar water and drinks it- calls it "Sprite" lol. I love ya Bruce but I don't think I would eat anything he cooks

You'll get a ton of downvotes, but I agree. Boiled peanuts are a mushy mess.
Back in the 90's I used to go to Egans in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday evenings for the super cheap beer and to watch Wednesday night MACtion (had a fried that played for Akron). They had bags of home made cajun spiced peanuts that I used to down one after another. 30 years later and I still miss those.

I learned to eat those 35 years ago, when the guy cutting our trenasses was eating them. They are good.
