He is from N La, and has a place to live in BR.

Has spent the 8-9 years doing apartment maintenance, so has varied skills.

Where should he start?

Turner has a hiring office right off highland and interstate. Basically can walk in and apply for jobs on weekdays.

If you can't find work in residential construction right now you are definitely doing it wrong.

If he can't find a construction job in Baton Rouge right now, he is not looking.

What's the infrastructure damage around there? Any washed out roads or bridges?

I'm not too familiar with infrastructure damage around the BR area.

Here is a start.

LINK

Go to Performance and at least inquire about a job. At the very least, he can leave his name and contact information so they will have it when they need to hire more workers.

If you are looking for residential work, I would suggest going to lumber stores or maybe ever Home Depot & Lowes and ask them if they know of any residential contractors looking for workers. No matter what they say, make sure you leave your contact information.
