Hate crime alert: A man has been arrested for the beating of 2 Sikhs in NYC

Was thinking the same thing. Sikhs are supposed to carry this at all times.

Wasn't there a big court case in Canada a few years ago about whether the Sikh population could or could not carry those?

So you have to pick and choose. If you posted all of them, the OT would be taken over with stories of blacks being violent against non-blacks.

I just googled and it was a lot older than I was thinking and they actually overturned an older law that banned them in school. So as of a 2012 court decision, it is legal for Sikhs to carry their kirpan in schools in Ontario.
Pretty wild.
