Who knows. Like I said it has become very popular outside of its initial limited scope. I don’t like using it personally. I use Klonopin 95% of the benzos I write. Restoril rarely and maybe Valium if they have proven they can handle PRN scripts of 5-10 a monrh

I'd probably talk to my prescribing doctor about weening off them before coming to a discussion board, but that's just me.

Can't remember if it was 90 a month, but I think so. It was prescribed 2-3x a day or as needed I think.
I also cycled through 20 mg Adderall and 40 mg Vyvanse around the same time too. I used to joke that I just canceled myself out.

My buddies a psychiatrist at OLOL. He’s paranoid and anxious as frick. Now he’s a psychiatrist

Well obviously but he has definitely described early stages of benzo abuse. A lot of times it is easier To build up confidence from some professional anonymously before approaching your doc

I use Stimulants I believe in them more than benzos and SSRIs are the single most useless medications in psychiatry. I only use Vyvanse or XR adderall and only for treatment resident depression. Would never mix with benzos. But yeh 90 Xanax a month will almost without fail sooner or later start running out 5 days soon then 10 then 15

Any legitimate medical indication or reason to give a patient Xanax that can’t be controlled not only with more efficacy but a higher safety profile and exposing them to the lowest amount of risk vs reward

OP, 1.5mg of Klonopin isn’t going to harm you coming off of it. If it would make you feel better talk to your doctor or do what others have said, ween down. Break the pills in half and start with that for a week, then take half a pill every other day if needed for a week.
ETA: After further discussion and thinking, just talk to your doctor. For goodness sakes my screen name is Windshieldman, don’t take medical advice from me

No do not break Klonopin in half. That’s bad advice no offense. Only scored formulations are .5mgs

Yep and I went to a psychologist who made recommendations to my family doctor who wrote prescriptions so I guess I got pretty good at hiding that. I was on them for 2-3 years at least.

I took them for a year for PTSD. It doesn’t last long, and if I felt anxiety coming on I took one, within 20 minutes or so I started feeling better. For what ever reason I couldn’t drive on interstate w/o having a anxiety attack and feeling light headed. A 1/4mg was all I needed and it did great for me, and several coworkers agreed it did with them. I just quit taking them a few years ago once I worked through my issue. My doctor seemed to think it was a good prescription to take and to me it was. Everybody is different

I also run extreme monitoring at my practice because of how we operate and the types of patients and illness we often deal with the most. Anyone on anything controlled has a UDS every visit which is every 2 weeks. You can be called in for a pill count at any time and report time is no more than 24 hours. I routinely check PDMP and also if they’re filling the non controlled medications regularly. Almost all do very well because they know i will work with them and I’m not there to torture them.!

You can break them in half, I’ve never taken Klonopin, but pretty much all benzos can be break in half

No offense but I’m guessing you’re in your 40s at least? Amble indisputable research has show how benzos for PTSD is a absolutely horrible idea just to point one thing out. The thinking about these medicines specifically is going under rapid change quicker than usual in medicine. No one gives Xanax anymore because any number of other medicines can do what it needs to do without subjecting the patient to as much possible bad outcomes

Do you know what a scored pill is? And why they are?
