I think i have it but it seems early
Started with a sore throat last night
By Mid morning body aches and throat was worse
Now every joint in my body hurts. Even the the digits between my toes and my eyeball muscles - I’m serious - everything is sore
and my back and my neck are killing me more than anything. I don’t have a cough or runny nose though??

It’s been since the 90s that I’ve had the flu. Is this what it’s like?

Yeah sounds like it....of course our minds play tricks on us lol. The best advice is to take something the second you think you might have something. Just incase. Id take something that covers everything. I take Vics vaper rub and that helps along with medicine .

I’ve been taking Advil round the clock

The nighttime is always the worst though for any virus. so hopefully it’s not the flu and is just a cold, and I’ll feel better in the morning.

Could be. I had it several years ago. Woke up during the night feeling like something was up. By the time I got to work I had shaking chills. By 10 I was out of there. No runny nose. No sore throat. Then the cough came. Sick as a dog for a solid 6 days.

That's what I said....but that's when you want to start taking something right away.

The only relief I could get from the body aches was to stand in the shower under warm running water. I was in and out of the shower all day and all night.

We usually all get it at thanksgiving by a doctor in the family.

This happened to me bad when I had mono. Didn't have fatigue, just chronic fever for about a month. When my fever broke 3 times a day, the water works kicked off

those are generally common cold symptoms. The flu is fever and body aches and some other variable symptoms. Hope you feel better man, hang in there. Drink lots of water and broth.
