Why wouldn’t anyone just mail it to themselves? I feel like if there is any concern, this would be the best route to take. You could get one of those small box things and pack it full. Probably could bring back more than you are willing to take on a plane.

because mailing drugs is just as illegal as flying with them.

I just did Monday. Everything was in a checked bag. No issues.

TSA will just throw it out, usually. If you are busted by the post office you will be charged at the local level.

Getting actual marijuana is tougher because of the smell. But I just did it. I had it in a dispensary ziplock bag, which was then in a hotel soap bar box, then in my toiletry bag, then inside my golf bag, which was then in my golf travel bag.
No issues. Also threw in 2 bags of gummies in my golf bag as well as a single oil cartridge. All good.

You can fly anywhere with bud, edibles, vapes. I don't even conceal it in my bags. Although I have a license issued in CO. The TSA will leave a bag search notice but leave my stuff alone. They're more concerned with guns and bombs not a little pot.

A family member loaded up her checked bag with buds, edibles, and concentrates on the way home from Las Vegas (Nevada is legal), and didn't get caught.

My brother was in Seattle for a charity golf tournament three months after having brain surgery.
One doctor advised some medical weed in lieu of opiates, but Texas wasn't game at the time.
He bought a bunch of edibles, put them in his golf bag and had no issues whatsoever.

I have flown all over the world with edibles, and have never had an issue. I have flown with my vape pen to and from new orleans a few times. Again, no problem. I just put the cartridge in the liquids bag.
Heck, I have flown out of CO with flower before and haven't had an issue, although I haven't done that recently.
I did get a bit of scare when I got searched by a dog in NOLA airport, but they didn't detect the marijuana. I assume they were there for bombs. Dogs are usually specialized for specific substances
eta: I will sometimes mail it to my destination. You can't mail lithium batteries though.

It most certainly is not allowed, and you will more than likely get caught.
There's a way to go about it if you wanted to get some to another destination, but I'm not gonna spell it out for ya. It should be obvious what to do.

A close friend was caught with flower at LAX. TSA checked his ID to make sure he was 21, and gave it back him. The way he packaged it was suspicious (inside shampoo bottle), and it showed up on the scanner.

Has everyone found any evidence of even one person getting caught and punished for this?
It’s not a serious offense and the risk is basically statistically zero.
Now if you are a total dumbass and put 2 pounds in your bag, it might be a different story.
