Totally agree. By and large, people don't give a shite about flooding rain possibilities. They're worried about wind, and if they don't get the wind, they don't worry about the storm altogether.

Rain is a pretty good bet at the moment. BR and NOLA effects, if any, shouldn't be felt for another 5ish days.

The latest model run from the GFS suggest the heaviest rains in the Houston area will begin ~96 hours out, but that is obviously subject to change and rainfall is difficult to nail down.
