I have no clue, but you've got to think there's going to be some road damage with all that water.

These reservoirs aren't sealed on all sides with walls. The west and North sides of Addicks are easily breached.
The stupidity was idiots building homes right there despite being told not to.
Are the reservoirs (in the dry season) used as a lake or are they giant retention ponds?

I would try to fly to Nola for the game via southwest if possible

Followed the board for about 4 years. Decided to sign up . I'm in Port Neches on the ride out crew for the plant I work at. We sent guys into port author this morning to retrieve some of our co workers that were trapped on their roof.
Hurricane ike won't have shite on this storm . We had 15 inches of rain at 5 am yesterday morning . By this morning we are at 52 inches here at the plant .

Even after it drains, the road construction w/ temp overpasses east of Beaumont might be inundated w/ washouts. May be next week before they can be inspected

Chicken, who's the a-hole that immediately downvotes my post, no matter what I'm discussing?

I booked a Southwest flight as soon as the game was moved from Houston to Nola early Sat morning and it was canceled last night and was unable to get on anything else. Trying to fly is a mess right now

One of the guys left this morning to go home . He made it from here to orange on the freeway . Water is 2 ft deep in down town Vidor . Some places in port author you can only see roof tops. I 10 BY Ford park . West bound right out side of Beaumont is 4 ft deep. None of the plants are on fire everyone is flaring off as much as possible. Search party's are being told not to touch the body's If they find them.

My parents and nephews had to be rescued by boat. Water began coming into the house about 4 this morning. By the time they got picked up around 9 they had a foot in the house. I can not explain how crazy it is. They built the house up a good 3-4 feet in total. My stepmom said the water in the yard was chest deep. They will probably end up with 3-4 feet in the house, which would be 7 feet or more of water from ground level. I feel helpless not being able to do anything but until the water recedes and they can get to the house, I am stuck here in Baton Rouge.
Edit: They are Beaumont.
