why is there an man lift sitting in the middle of the interstate?

Uhhh...is it on a truck bed? Being hauled somewhere?
Makes no sense for the lift to be up like that, tho.
Good question!

My apartment is fine. It's on Buffalo Bayou and Studemont. Still has power there as well. But I'm in BR at the moment. Trying to get back to Houston asap

I get it to some extent. Adding more and more people to the situation presents its own complications.

I'm also not sure if that is a legitimate statement or not. Not sure how they could stop you.

Watching the news, there are not enough boats. There are tons of people still trapped and more houses are getting flooded by the hour.

doesn't help that every channel feels they need a crew on a boat in each neighborhood

Probably don't want to be accountable for possible deaths which is utterly silly considering it's their choice knowing the dangers.

It's 2017. Don't assume Harvey is a "he". That's insensitive.
It's been a bitch since before landfall. Maybe Harline now?

When I look at that and the radar, it looks like the storm is almost splitting in half. Will that east side of the storm keep rotating or just split from the main cell and head east?

I'm obviously not a weather guy

My mom lives in the Raveneaux Apartments on the other side of Cypress Creek from Raveneaux Country Club. Her apartment complex is totally flooded with no electricity. She's stuck in her 3rd floor unit. I told her to leave and go up to my sister's apartment in Conroe which is doing fine, but she decided to be stubborn.
