my family near Sugar Land is also being shipped out with the mandatory evac... they're fine so far; hopefully one of them is sober enough to drive.

While I don't think it will become a hurricane again, don't forget it went from Tropical Storm to Cat 4 in 36 hours.

My Mom and MIL are in Sugar Land... just north of the old sugar mill.

I'm a little concern he could make it back to hurricane status, but that would mean a farther east track. There's still warm water toward the La coast to fuel it.
