Yes.
Remember, the models and track have been shifting eastward for about 24 hours (recall yesterday the forecast had it as a TD near Dallas).

As discussed above, there are other sources but that is official. Other parishes have other entities that have stations. USGS does not cover all Parishes. You can also change the state to Texas in the top right and see info for Houston and other areas if interested.

Certainly.
The path is only the midline in a split of possible outcomes. All of the path predictions are probabilities and fluctuate with new data.

It has been steady but not heavy in Lafayette and Broussard, but if this keeps up it will become a problem.
