Yes, absolutely.
Hyde Park, especially around UChicago, is a nice neighborhood. It's just the area around it is not the kind of place where you would want to be.

CC is tiny. The whole campus is like 3 blocks long. No idea what enrollment is but it can't be very high. They probably turn a higher percentage away than Mines.

Like I said, they have legal requirements to let in certain people that couldn't get in otherwise. What I posted is the average. A hair under LSU.
Most of those people with 16 ACT's probably drop out after a year.

Sure, but the fact that our taxes pay for public universities in the first place is a bigger problem.

Should of been, best schools in each state. There are some goofy colleges with weird rules that would make it harder, although not better than any of the other colleges in the state, actually maybe a little worse.
The list doesn't show the whole picture. Berea College in Kentucky is so hard to get into because there's no tuition which leads to an income limit. Your family has to financially eligible for you to get in and then once you do you have to work an on campus job to pay your liability.

Acceptance rates are meaningless in isolation. It's all about the applicant pool.
