You are the pit bull of posters.

Trashy, aggressive and willing to travel across space and time to chase down, attack and maul innocent bystanders. I see why you have such affinity for the breed.

I’ve had to put down 5 dogs in the last 10 years and have 1 more approaching fast. My wife and I adopt older dogs and make sure they have a good life. It’s not easy but I know it’s better than their alternatives.

That's a tough one for sure, but kids are pretty resilient. If you make the decision to adopt another kitty, you can make it an experience for her to participate. Of course, kids usually like the first one they see. You may want to pre-select the choices.

I adopted quickly because I wanted a calico and I didn't want a kitten. I didn't necessarily want a kitty of age 3, but she was so pretty and available. All of my calicos have had the sweetest dispositions, not that the others didn't, but there was extra sweetness. I couldn't resist when she popped up on my Facebook page.

first of all, sorry for the experience. That said, it doesn't sound like you really had to make the decision. The heart made that for you.

You'll eventually realize its better to say good bye sooner than later. It never gets easier though. It always sucks.

If the hardest decision you have ever made is putting your cat down you have lived one soft arse, pampered life.

Cats are underrated and make easy, great pets.

Any baw that openly shits on cats for no reason, I automatically assume they are in the closet.

Peaceful and humane thing to do.

Does not make is easy. But have been thru this multiple times. Remove suffering.

Right thing to do.

Sorry for your loss.

Recently lost my 15 year old girl suddenly about two months ago.
She was the sweetest cat ever

Sunday morning was fine
Sunday night she was heavy breathing and drooling, took her to a vet in BR and they said basically she was having heart failure and gave us medicine and said she probably had about a year to two years left and had to take the medicine daily

Wednesday morning she passed while I was at work. Wish I could've been there with her.

If putting down a pet is the toughest thing you have ever had to do, consider yourself to be blessed.

Sorry man. I have a cat too that I’m very close with. Best dog I’ve ever had. Hard for many to understand. Sorry you’re going through that.

You had several options here. You could be supportive. You could just move on and not say anything. Instead you chose to make it all about yourself even though this person is really struggling.
I assume in your world everyone comes in 2nd place to you. You are fortunate because you still have the opportunity to do the right thing.
