I’m not as emotionally in control as people think, especially myself. The most harmful part is that I disassociate from issues and situations - both large and small - that don’t make me feel good. In fact the continuous, compounding effect of neglecting the small stuff is probably the worst. This leads me to miss deadlines, neglect everyday tasks, and not be the person, husband, employee that other people deserve. I compensate by having periods and moments of extraordinary effort and achievement (personally and professionally), but I lie to myself about that somehow canceling everything else out.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m doing OK in life (personally and professionally), but like most everyone else out there, things aren’t perfect and I have some serious flaws that keep me from reaching my full potential.
This is probably my single biggest personality flaw that I know I’ll have to battle for the rest of my life. Sometimes I’m better at it than others but I know I’ll always stumble and likewise have to remember I’ll always pick myself back up.
Honestly I want to have kids soon but I’m afraid that I’m going to be a bad dad.

Having a big dick doesn’t guarantee a career as a porn star.

Even though I know it’s for the better, I find it very difficult to change my ways and I mostly remain on the current track.

I'm a picker. I'm a grinner. I'm a lover, and I'm a sinner. I'm a joker. I'm a smoker. I'm a mid-night toker. I get my lovin' on the run.

I'm fairly average and happy with it.

Some people call me the space cowboy. Some call me the gangster of love. Some people call me Maurice, cause I speak of the pompitous of love.

I have absolutely no patience whatsoever.

Some friends of mine, recent additions, got a little drunk one night and told me that they thought I was a dick when we first started hanging out with them. Said I had a very smartass edge to me and am too sarcastic and it took actually hanging out a few times before they “understood me”. My wife has been telling me this for years and telling me to tone it down a little.
I’m very conscious of this now.

that unless you have some type of trust fund, you must choose to spend your time and money doing fun things in your younger, healthier years, or save drastically for your golden years, but you cannot do both.

Totally get that. definitely need to remind yourself to be "political". Sux but subtle nudging helps. Also when you befriend their underlings to help when there are meetings going on you arent apart of. I have fellow mgmt level peeps tell me that my name pops in more meetings than it should ever by their underlings. I just smile, and say "good lets get this shite done then".
Im like the other guy that said he's a total loner outside of work. I turn that shite on the moment I walk in the door. Get in the groove of doing that, and you'll have a lot more fun at work. Know you did all you could do.

I will likely never run sub-7 minute miles again. (last time I ran sub-14 for a 2-mile was 3 years ago)
