How would you have suggested they do that?

Went to NOLA in February and the fact that you can see the building in all of its infamy from the interstate, front and center, and you know that there are dead bodies in that building; I mean it's just an immense embarrassment to the city and frankly the people in charge should be ashamed.

The grammar in that article is truly something to behold.

Louisiana is ranked 49th in the nation on a test of college readiness called the ACT, down from 45th last year, according to results released Tuesday.Oct 30, 2019

-Louisiana again ranks low in new education reports

Yeah, that shite REALLY MATTERS!!!!

Being one of the dumbest states in the nation is not a good thing.

They are going to keep on until they are trying to demolish the damn thing in the middle of hurricane season.

On-going negotiations between the city and 1031 Canal Development LLC kept stalling, first, it was over who the contractor will be to do the demolition.

Lemme guess, Latoya wants a minority owned contractor who employs a certain percentage of women and PoC's who also plans to hire X number of released convicts and pay them $80/hr and HEY...She happens to know a campaign donor who checks all those boxes.

That's probably why the brand new building lies in a pile of rubble with dead bodies right now.

They should surround the entire area with blue tarps and make it a tourist attraction. Install a Tower of Terror type ride with live gunfire. Charge admission and shite.

Forgive my ignorance on the subject, but would right now not be the perfect time to get this thing taken down since everyone is staying at home and all events cancelled?

Yes. That is just good common sense, which is something the bitch and those around her have none of.

Get out of here with all of that common sense.

Yes a top down demo could be well under way if this wasn’t such a shiteshow.

I don’t believe the developers have pockets deep enough to cover all of this anyway. Might as well cancel the building permit, order demo start by day x, and if it doesn’t proceed with the demo paid by the city and lien and ultimately repossess the property to recoup costs.

I can’t conceive of a different scenario unless the developers step up and foot the bill for the demo.

Yeah it’s a shame this isn’t a priority. It’s not like a his is the first time a building ended to be taken down in a downtown area.

Read the whole thread. They can't safely do it and it's just going to be broken up bones anyway.
