I’ll take casual weekend drinkers over stoners in my hood any day

How has legal weed worked out in other states? Please be sure to compare tax revenue to the cost of homelessness increase and other "negative externalities"
You used the word "freedom", so I wonder if you actually care about the harm of implementation because you just want to get high, and you don't really care about anything else.
Which "freedoms" have been an overall positive and which have been an overall negative? Activists don't care about the whole, they only care about their single want, regardless of cost or impact.

The thought of a nice fat joint before getting a big ol deep dish at Giordano’s is making my mouth water.

Let's outlaw all junk food then. Definitely no net positive from having it around.
Outlaw gambling too. Cigarettes.

Maybe this will curb Chicago violence down to only 400 homicides per year.

Ashamed really. The first southern state to do so will be printing money.
It'll most certainly be Florida. And they'll inject a quick $2 billion into their schools and economy.
Meanwhile here in Loseriana, we'll end up doing it as the 49th state after its literally legal everywhere and people have been trucking it in here illegally for decades. Just another opportunity wasted in the Sportsmans Paradise...its sadly a tale as old as time.

Apologies. You are either intellectually disadvantaged or an internet provocateur, and I’m inclined to believe the latter, based on your preceding responses.
Better?
Better?

nah man I’m just a regular freedom loving American who enjoys a good smoke and the liberty to do so.

in addition to being a consumer I am a businessman and minor investor. Outside of the positives to patients and partiers, the economic impact of legal cannabis is verifiable if you care to do your own research.
just the agricultural science alone is creating a new industry around it, with good jobs and very smart people.

I understand the financial aspects, but are their long term health issues/dangers? Just curious

I spent the last few days in Tulsa, OK. Between it and OKC there has to be 300+ dispensaries. I don't know how you make money in that business now. Friend of mines dad is invested in one so if you buy, stop by Doobies!

Yes, similarly, after destruction, the construction market is great! It would be nice though if there wasn't destruction, right?
There's money to be made, but at what overall expense?

In order to collect the $1 billion a year in state tax revenue promised by backers of the initiative, plus millions of dollars more for cities and counties, California needs to sell at least $7 billion worth of weed. Last year, $2.5 billion was sold.
In SF alone they spend $600 million/year on homelessness.
Which is great right? I mean you have to hire sidewalk shite cleaners, and if you invent side walk cleaning machines, homelessness is great for you!
See what I'm getting at?

Putting aside the fact that you're asking the government to dictate what you can consume... what "destruction" are you referring to?

If they ever legalize in my state I am setting up a food truck in the parking lot next to one. Biscuits or breakfast burritos till 10. Then tacos, nachos and burritos.
