today recreational cannabis sale and possession/consumption is legal in the state of Illinois. The first legal sale of cannabis at a recreational dispensary was made at 6:07am in Chicago

39 states to go.
freedom is coming

It will most likely never be accepted in the industrial workplace so you’ll still be potheads

The testing for alcohol and THC are different. Whenever there is an acceptable test for impairment due to weed, it will be allowed as long as it is consumed off hours.

Stop being a retard.

I don't share your optimism. It feels along way off in backwards-arse states like Louisiana...

I am an employer of skilled crafts and trades employees who frequently enter drug controlled environments; I am perfectly familiar with drug testing procedures

if alcohol and other intoxicating substances are forbidden inside certain workplaces then cannabis will be as well, just as it will be behind the wheel of a car. That is not and has never been a justifiable reason to keep it illegal

eleven states have figured this out already

I'm surprised a test hasn't been invented yet. It has the potential to be one of the biggest moneymaking inventions.

Of course it’s far off, these idiots in LA are barely functional and have convinced themselves a rich aristocrat from NY is looking after dem and Cletus’ interresses.

Louisiana and Arkansas will be the last states to legalize cannabis. Florida shouldn't be too far off, though. We'd be able to get high during our beach vacations (legally).

unfortunately this is true.
it will take a neighboring state to legalize first, same as it was with gambling. Once we can drive to Gulfport and purchase it legally things will start to change

You’re showing your age.

I already know you’re old, but times change and some people should consider changing with it.
