For some of us it’s already Front Day 2026. Here in northern Alabama the front is arriving this afternoon.

I don’t think the cold front that is approaching north Alabama cares what day of the week it is.

What I do know is at 1 PM it’s forecasted to be 80 and sunny and three hours later it’s going to be overcast and 69 degrees. And two hours after that it’s forecasted to be 62.

And better yet, tomorrow’s high is forecasted to be 61.

That will be Front Day. You can enjoy it with New Orleans as well.

The Front Day Orthodox will never forget.

That being said, tomorrow will be a glorious Front Day. I hope all who celebrate a true Front Day will enjoy.

The apostates are damned.

Why did you skip over the part where the temp goes from the 80s to the 60 today? The front is arriving here in N. Alabama in just a couple of hours from now.

Because Front Day can have no temperature higher than 79 degrees. If it hits 80 at any point in the day it is not Front Day.

If you didn't receive the beautiful wax sealed handwritten letter in the mail, you weren't necessarily invited. They don't want just anyone showing up at the compound, it's a highly delicate place with many old antiques and artifacts that some... lesser... coonasses might break or steal. Plus there will be no boudin, gumbo, jambalaya, or crawfish; and there is a dress code that the butlers enforce requiring no LSU jerseys, crocs, or jorts worn by grown men.

I'm delightful in those settings.

Not cajun. I correct the cashier when she gives me too much change and return my cart to the corral 100% of the time. I even wrangle some of the carts left about by the philistines.

I prefer pate and foie gras to alll of those. I've never worn a jersey, even during 22 years of Saints season tickets.

One day I'll be worthy of the Front Day festivities, I just know it.
